Telling the credit union story in front of decision-makers is crucial to ensuring misguided policy is avoided, Movement progress is gained, and credit unions remain top-of-mind during the legislative process.  Thanks to a combination of credit union industry veterans, young professionals, and volunteer directors, we made an impact at this year’s Credit Union Statehouse Day. During legislator meetings, your credit union peers focused on three key areas: making homebuying more affordable, supporting small businesses with accessible capital, and empowering credit unions to best serve members.

Credit unions also heard from Ohio Treasurer Robert Sprague, Speaker of the Ohio House Jason Stephens, President of the Ohio Senate Matt Huffman, and other elected officials during the luncheon. This impactful day further fueled our members’ passion for serving others through Movement advocacy. Thanks to everyone that took time away from their credit union to share their story. Next, we return to Washington, D.C., for our annual Hill Hike, Sept. 12-14, 2023. Be on the lookout for registration information.
