A 10-min investment in your organization’s digital transformation

Demand for the digital delivery of financial services is accelerating, and credit unions are racing to keep up. The required support from data analytics capabilities to fulfill these demands is becoming table stakes. Yet whether an organization is just making its first investments in analytics or is far down its analytics journey, realizing value from data continues to be a challenge.

At the start of 2021, Filene Research Institute launched a Center for Data Analytics and the Future of Financial Services built for and sponsored by credit unions. Led by Dr. Cheri Speier-Pero of Michigan State University, this center seeks to advance credit unions’ understanding of and capabilities in data analytics to prepare credit unions for the future financial services landscape.

Filene is now launching a new system-wide research project to baseline and benchmark the readiness and maturity of credit unions’ data analytics and business intelligence capabilities. In the process, this research will identify critical drivers of readiness to help credit unions and credit union system partners make sound investments in the people, processes, and technologies of data analytics—and see value from those investments. Dr. Speier-Pero and her colleague Dr. Viswanath Venkatesh of Virginia Tech serve as lead researchers for this project.

The ask: Please invest 10-15 minutes in completing the survey. This small step on your digital transformation journey will also directly benefit your credit union, as all survey participants will immediately receive a download of Filene research and resources on technology and will also receive a customized index of where your credit union fits within the big picture of data analytics across the industry once the research is complete. Your response will also help create a strong foundation of knowledge in our unique credit union space from which to learn and grow.

CEOs and credit union IT leaders are best positioned to answer the survey questions; however, the survey is open for any credit union leader to take. Filene encourages multiple responses from the same credit union.
