Act during Cyber Security Month

We all know what disruptions the COVID-19 pandemic has brought to life and business operations throughout 2020. This virtual reality we have acclimated to has also increased the opportunities for hackers to attack. As October is National Cybersecurity Awareness Month, there is no better time to advocate for further cyber security measures. After passing the Ohio House of Representatives 93-1, House Bill 368 for the Ohio Computer Crimes Act is currently under Ohio Senate consideration. By updating and modernizing Ohio’s computer crime laws, HB 368 will make it easier for cyber-criminals to be prosecuted and victims to receive restitution. To ensure HB 368 becomes law, we need you to contact your state senator by submitting or customizing a pre-written e-mail.
