While your credit union is busy taking care of members, the League regularly hits the Statehouse bricks to advocate for your ability to serve them more efficiently and effectively. Below is a snapshot of recent advocacy action.
- Superior Credit Union and the League supported county recorder modernization efforts to ensure all 88 counties can receive and provide electronic records, like mortgage documents. Check out how this legislation will enable credit unions to serve members more efficiently, beginning at the 58:08 mark.
- Ohio State Representative Marilyn John (R- Shelby) celebrated Buckeye State Credit Union’s Mansfield branch opening, recognizing the not-for-profit financial cooperative service model’s unique role in local community success and growth.
- In partnership with Superior Credit Union, the League supported updates to the AG-LINK program offered by the Ohio Treasurer, removing the overall programmatic and funding caps. These changes will help credit unions better assist agribusinesses in meeting fluctuating economic realities.
