On Monday, the annual inVest48 credit union conference was held in Columbus at the stunning new Hilton Hotel. The conference, which has been bringing credit union leaders together for many decades, brought together industry experts, innovators, and financial leaders from across the state to discuss the latest trends and developments in the Credit Union Movement.
The conference kicked off with dueling economists, who took turns sharing their opposite viewpoints of the evolving economic future. The insightful and entertaining economists were followed by a series of breakout sessions covering topics such as regulatory compliance, digital transformation, and member engagement.
One of the highlights of the conference was a panel discussion on women in leadership, which featured three female leaders from several prominent organizations. The panelists discussed the challenges facing female leaders, including finding ways to be heard and building the confidence to take your seat at the leadership table.
Another popular session was the closing keynote, presented by Sharon Leite, the CEO of Ideal Image. This presentation encouraged the audience, through her experience on Undercover Boss, to understand the day-to-day needs of your team, build resources that truly meet their needs, and foster growth by truly listening.
The conference also provided opportunities for networking and collaboration among attendees. The exhibit hall featured booths from a variety of vendors offering products and services specifically tailored for credit unions. Attendees had the opportunity to speak with vendors, learn about new products, and discuss potential partnerships.
Overall, the 2023 inVest48 was a great success, providing credit union leaders and professionals with valuable insights and knowledge to help them navigate the ever-changing financial services landscape. Attendees left the conference with new ideas, best practices, and connections to help them better serve their members and communities. We look forward to next year’s conference and the continued growth and success of the credit union industry.
