Bucks for Buckeyes program suspended for 2020

Due to the operational challenges facing your credit union during the COVID-19 crisis, the League has made the difficult decision to suspend the Bucks for Buckeyes prize-linked savings program for the remainder of 2020. We extend our gratitude and appreciation for the four Ohio credit unions that jumpstarted Ohio’s first prize-linked savings program. The League will conduct prize drawings in April and May as scheduled, helping credit unions deliver nearly $3,000 in prize money to lift credit union members in an uncertain time. While we are disappointed to pause the program, the League looks forward to revisiting possible prize-linked savings strategies with Ohio credit unions as the restorative and recovery work takes hold on the other side of the crisis. Please contact League SVP of Advocacy Emily Leite below for any questions or concerns regarding the Bucks for Buckeyes program suspension.
