Each spring the Ohio Credit Union Foundation offers Ohio undergraduate credit union members the opportunity to compete for one of three scholarships by creating a short, interactive video addressing a credit union-centric topic. This program recognizes and financially supports talented credit union members in pursuing their educational goals and highlights the daily exceptional work credit unions do to serve members.

This year’s video topic was “How does your credit union demonstrate financial inclusion for all?”

After extensive review, three exceptional individuals whose videos showcased their remarkable skills, creativity, and passion have been selected. The winners of the 2024 Annual Video Scholarship Program are:

  • First Place, Alexia Giles, member of Sun Federal Credit Union: View video.
  • Second Place, Emily McConocha, member of Sun Federal Credit Union: View video.
  • Third Place, Bailey David, member of BMI Credit Union: View video.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the winners for their outstanding achievements. Over the past 23 years, the Foundation has provided more than $219,000 in scholastic scholarships to help credit union members realize their dreams.

A special thank you also goes out to the Foundation’s generous sponsors and donors who make this scholarship program possible. Your unwavering support enables the Foundation to empower deserving individuals and make a meaningful difference in Ohio communities.
