The seventh annual Ohio Credit Union Foundation Clay Classic held on Oct. 27 was a fundraising success, demonstrating the commitment and passion credit unions and industry supporters have for furthering the mission of People Helping People.

More than 125 participants from 28 credit unions and 17 sponsoring organizations gathered at Black Wing Shooting Center in Delaware to network with peers, enjoy a hog-roast lunch, and shoot some sporting clays. More than $22,000 was raised to fund programs, projects, and initiatives that financially empower individuals and strengthen credit unions and communities across Ohio. The day ended with a bourbon tasting and silent auction. Funds raised from this event go to grantmaking through the Foundation.

“We are so grateful to the many individuals and organizations who join together to support the Clay Classic and provide critical funds for projects that improve lives,” said Kim Connor, Ohio Credit Union Foundation Executive Director. “It was a really fun day that will leave a lasting impact across Ohio.”

The next Clay Classic will be held on Friday, Oct. 25, 2024. Mark your calendar now!
