GRID Mentorship Program
Mentee Application
These agreements set forth your intention to be committed to the mentoring process and provide assurance that your credit union is enthusiastically committed to your participation in the program. These agreements also provide guidelines for you to consider as you plan and develop your goals for the experience.
As a mentee, I agree that…
- My CEO approves of my participation in this program and will provide a written letter or email of endorsement prior to my beginning the program.
- I will make every effort to attend each program event, including check-in calls and virtual meetings.
- Working with my mentor, I will set up a contact schedule that respects our work schedules, but also respects the commitment my mentor has made to my career development.
- Using my stated goals for the year as our baseline, I will be open and honest with my mentor at all times.
- Upon completing the program, I will write a 200-word minimum narrative sharing what I learned. I will share this essay with my mentor, my supervisor, and the Mentor Program lead.
- I understand that confidentiality is a vital component of our relationship. I will not share sensitive information about either credit union or mentor interactions without the permission of the mentor.
- The Cooperative Principles underly the powerful business model, philosophy, and motivations of credit unions. The 6th cooperative principle, Cooperation Among Cooperatives, honors the notion that all credit unions will experience more success together than separately. Both the CU Movement, generally, and this Mentorship Program, specifically, depend on a strong adherence to this selfless spirit of cooperation. With this in mind, as a participant in this special mentorship program as either mentor or mentee, I offer my commitment to this cooperation-among-cooperatives ideal and pledge to uphold it through the embrace of its grounding ethics of non-competition and non-solicitation.
Cost to participate is $250** Do not let the fee deter you from participating. Check the box if you need financial assistance and we will contact you.
