As Ohio credit unions work to put people first, the Ohio Credit Union Foundation is hard at work to make it easier for your credit union to help others in their time of need. Last month, the Foundation announced a COVID-19 Relief Grant to further assist members facing financial hardships resulting from the pandemic. So far, 17 credit unions applied to provide $160,000 in direct financial assistance for credit union members. This grant opportunity is still available and is designed to quickly fuel credit unions with up to $10,000 to help members buy groceries to feed their families, pay utility bills so they can keep the lights on, and supplement rent payments to keep a roof over their heads.

If you are interested in applying for this relief grant or have questions, please visit the Foundation website or contact Foundation Executive Director Kim Connor.
