Credit unions connect with Movement champion Congresswoman Kaptur

Connecting directly with decision-makers on how to better improve member lives is right in the credit union wheelhouse. That is why Northwest Ohio credit union leaders recently took the opportunity to connect with Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (D-Toledo). As a long-standing credit union champion, Congresswoman Kaptur understands the crucial gap credit unions fill in communities and supports public policy that helps financial cooperatives meet the unique needs of all people, families, and businesses. With an upcoming difficult general election, Ohio credit union leaders thanked Congresswoman Kaptur for her support of adequate Community Development Financial Institution, CDFI, funding and field of membership expansion opportunities and reminded her how critical her support is to empowering credit unions so they can better serve and help more people achieve their dreams through financial cooperatives.
