For more than 90 years, the Ohio Credit Union League has been the united voice and champion for Ohio credit unions, working to strengthen the cooperative system and support credit unions as trusted financial partners in their communities. The 92nd Annual Meeting brings leaders together to reflect on our shared progress, align on priorities, and reaffirm the League’s role as an indispensable ally to Ohio credit unions.

During the Annual Meeting, attendees will hear updates on the League’s work to advance advocacy, deliver essential resources, and harness the system’s collective strength, reinforcing the strategic focus guiding the League’s efforts in 2026 and beyond.

Key highlights include:

  • A welcome from Paul Mercer, Ohio Credit Union League President
  • An update on 2025 accomplishments from League Board Chair, Jessica Jones
  • A financial overview from League Secretary-Treasurer, Michael Sferro
  • Keynote presentation by Filene’s Director of Advisory Services, Caroline Vahrenkamp on the future of digital transactions.

Immediately following the Annual Meeting, Caroline Vahrenkamp from the Filene Research Institute joins for a forward‑looking keynote focused on equipping credit unions to lead with insight, adaptability, and  innovation.

Over the last few months, the conversation around cryptocurrency, specifically stablecoin, has grown from a whisper to a steady buzz. For credit unions, staying relevant in this evolving landscape means understanding not just how payments work, but how people want to pay.
How is consumer behavior evolving and what does it mean for the future of member engagement? Today’s presentation builds on the highly popular i48 session that dove into the pros, cons, opportunities, and challenges of these new technologies to give you the edge in implementation.
