The purpose of the Ohio Credit Union Foundation is to support education and outreach initiatives that promote financial independence through credit unions. The Foundation uses its grants program to empower people to improve their financial well-being and strengthen credit unions and communities. Grant applications include the Becky Hart Student Internship Scholarship, William A. Herring Social Responsibility Grant, Financial Education Grant, Professional Development Grant for credit union staff, Disaster Relief Grant, and new in 2021 the New Beginnings Grant which supports programs serving demographics reentering the community.
