A key element to your League’s dedication to 360-degree advocacy is bringing decisionmakers directly to you so you can engage with them on emerging and ongoing issues impacting how you serve your members. So, when NCUA Board Member Todd Harper announced he would be visiting Ohio, we brought more than a dozen credit union leaders together to engage Mr. Harper on NCUA priorities such as the agency’s regulatory focus, diversity, equity and inclusion efforts, vendor authority, and consumer compliance efforts. While Mr. Harper is sympathetic to the regulatory compliance impact on credit unions of all asset categories and strives to represent the Movement’s diverse voice, he remains steadfastly dedicated to his FIRE principles: practicing fairness and forwardness, prioritizing innovation and inclusion, focusing on risk, and ongoing engagement with stakeholders. Your League looks forward to continued engagement with Mr. Harper and the full NCUA Board so Ohio credit unions can keep their focus on superior member experience and service.
If you have any questions about the dialogue with Mr. Harper or would like to join us for the next regulator engagement opportunity, contact the League’s Senior Vice President of Advocacy, Emily Leite at 800-486-2917, ext. 270, or eleite@ohiocul.org.
