Expanding credit union access to state programs is crucial to better serving your members. That’s why the League engaged in the legislative process to make the new Ohio Homebuyer Plus Savings Program a reality. Now live, the program will help Ohioans achieve the American Dream through homeownership by helping defray down payments and closing costs.  Eligible Ohio residents can open enhanced interest savings accounts at credit unions around the state, with credit unions receiving a significant amount of deposits from the State of Ohio.

Are you interested in offering this program to your members? The first step in the process is for your financial institution to become an approved public depository. Act today to ensure your credit union can offer members access to this valuable savings tool.
