In keeping with the spirit of the credit union philosophy of People Helping People, the Ohio Credit Union Foundation is offering three scholarships toward college tuition. The first-place winner will receive $5,000, second place $2,500, and third place a $1,000 scholarship. Students are encouraged to submit video applications now through April 26, 2024.

The three scholarships are available to student applicants who are:

  • at least a high school senior;
  • a member of an Ohio-based credit union; and
  • plan to pursue an undergraduate degree during the 2024-2025 school year.

To apply for a video scholarship, students should create a video up to two minutes and 30 seconds long that addresses this year’s topic: “How does your credit union demonstrate financial inclusion for all?”

Video entries can be edgy, funny, bold, simple, serious or anything in between. Applicants will be judged on their originality, accuracy of information presented, and effectiveness in addressing the scholarship question.

All video entries must be submitted by Friday, April 26, 2024, by 11:59:59 p.m. EDT.

School districts across Ohio have received information to promote the scholarship. Please share this information with members and local schools. Visit the Foundation web page to download supporting graphics to help market the scholarship, and for a link to the scholarship application.
