ODFI roundtables shed light on credit union market

Keeping a pulse on today’s marketplace is the best way to ensure a successful tomorrow. That is why the League joined the Ohio Division of Financial Institutions (ODFI) for regional dialogues in Ohio, which focused on what our provincial regulator is seeing right now and what is on the horizon for credit unions.

Over the past two weeks, ODFI held regional roundtables in Canton and Findlay where credit unions heard about current credit union exam findings (assets are up, delinquencies are up, and the number of credit unions continues to decrease), the latest in credit union service trends, and a snapshot of the current cybersecurity volatility. Roundtables like these are vital to a promising credit union future as optimal regulation occurs when regulators and the regulated collaborate to build a financial ecosystem designed to allow you to do what you do best: serve your members.

ODFI has two additional sessions scheduled: Columbus, Oct. 17, and Cincinnati, Oct. 29. To register, please email Jaime Heath.
