A key component of successful credit union advocacy is politically supporting those who will stand up for and champion financial cooperatives. Thanks to your continued investment in the League Political Action Committees (PACs), the Ohio Movement has raised nearly $77,000 through Q1 2021 to ensure the credit union voice is championed by state and federal decisionmakers. How is that passion and commitment fueling credit union success through the PACs? Your support means Ohio credit unions constantly engage directly and often with U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) as he develops federal banking policy that promotes cooperative financial services in the U.S. Senate Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Committee. It also means that Ohio Senate President Matt Huffman (R-Lima) is directly connected to credit union legislative priorities, like regulatory relief and additional authorities, to help you better serve your members.
Thank you for your support. Your personal commitment to driving political advocacy success is making a difference for three million Ohioans so they can continue to achieve their dreams through credit unions, like yours.
