State budget moves forward: what it means for credit unions

State budget decisions directly impact local tax allocations, shaping the environment in which credit unions operate and grow. That’s why the League closely monitors Ohio’s two-year budget process, ensuring policies support your ability to serve members effectively.

Earlier this year, Governor DeWine introduced his proposed state budget, and on April 1, 2025, the Ohio House will release its first round of revisions. As the bill moves through the legislature, the League will remain proactively engaged by tracking developments and advocating for credit union interests. While no major concerns have emerged yet, the budget process is still in its early stages, with multiple revisions expected.

Rest assured, the League will continue working with lawmakers and stakeholders to protect and advance credit unions and the communities you serve. Join Advocacy on Point, the Leagues online advocacy Huddle community, for up-to-date content related to the state budget process.
