Join us for the first half-day workshop for GRID Young Professionals during inVest48. The StrengthFinder workshop is slated for Monday, April 4, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. The workshop is an excellent opportunity for young professionals in the Credit Union Movement to connect. Register today.

Based on the StrengthsFinder tool, which participants will take prior to the session, this workshop uplifts, energizes, and challenges people to use the right “muscles” in their job/career. Attendees’ top five strengths are categorized by leadership domain (Strategic; Influencing; Relationship-Building; Execution) and through insight-activities. Participants self-discover ways they can unleash their strengths more in both their current job and leadership opportunities.

The GRID Network, which stands for “Grow, Retain, Inspire, and Develop,” is an emerging young professionals community geared towards cultivating rising credit union talent through professional development, networking, and advocacy opportunities. GRID Young Professionals receive a special discount to attend inVest48. To join GRID Young Professionals, click here.

Expanded telemarketing rules impact member outreach

The credit union difference is best activated when credit unions can freely connect with their member-owners without regulatory inference. That's why your League responded to a recent Federal Trade Commission (FTC) notice of proposed rulemaking (NPRM) proposing expanded call records and record retention requirements that would inhibit credit union member outreach efforts. As prudentially regulated, member-owned financial cooperatives, credit unions already comply with a federal and state regulatory framework wrapped around member outreach.
