Student loans aren’t fun, and the Ohio Credit Union Foundation wants to help. So the Foundation will “help our own” by awarding three $5,000 Student Loan Forgiveness Grants again this year to Ohio credit union employees to help pay off their outstanding student loans. All grant applications will need to be submitted by Monday, Oct. 24, 2022, at 11:59:59 p.m. EDT, and address the essay question: How can credit unions attract young professionals to work in the Credit Union Movement?

To review eligibility requirements and to apply, click here.

Entries will be judged by select Ohio Credit Union League staff based on creativity, details of the essay, the credit union connection, and engagement and insightfulness of the credit union history, mission, planning, and evaluation. The five highest-scoring entries will then move on to be judged by the Ohio Credit Union Foundation board members. Winners will be announced Thursday, Dec. 1.

Feel free to spread the word about this opportunity throughout your credit union. For additional questions, contact Director, Member Success and Communications, Christy Clark.
