Many credit unions have stepped up to help small business navigate the uncertainty of the current health and economic crisis through PPP lending. Unfortunately, the program has opened financial institutions up to unexpected liability, as well. The League hosted a CARES Act Litigation Webinar in partnership with expert attorneys from Ice Miller, LLP on Monday, June 29 to ensure credit unions understand the litigation on the horizon and take steps to protect themselves and their members. Ice Miller’s presentation centered on litigation resulting from the nonpayment of agent fees relating to PPP loans.

Please check out the full recording on the League’s 2020 Townhall Series webpage and contact League Regulatory Counsel Chris Noble, Esq. if you have questions or concerns about the current CARES Act litigation environment or the this specific presentation.
