Three Ohio credit unions capture national awards

CUNA proudly unveiled the 2023 award winners, with Ohio shining brightly by securing three coveted national positions. Heartfelt congratulations to all of the winners for their achievements!
Lake County Educational Federal Credit Union triumphed in the Less than $50 million in assets category, as they clinched the Desjardins Youth Financial Education Award. Their groundbreaking program, “Empowering Youth for Financial Independence,” has earned them the top national award.
In the $250 million – $1 billion in assets category, Atomic Credit Union emerged victorious, securing first place for their exceptional Student Run Credit Union Program. Their commitment to empowering students with financial knowledge earned them the same award in their asset category.
Additionally, Toledo Metro Federal Credit Union, in the $50 – $250 million in assets category, secured second place national recognition for the Desjardins Youth Financial Education Award. Their commendable Lucas County Foster Care New Beginnings Financial Literacy Program has made a significant impact in their community.
