Since 1998 the Ohio Credit Union Foundation has empowered credit unions through access to elevated knowledge, growth of internal competencies and capacities, and support in recovering from disasters. The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, relying solely on donations, and every dollar contributed funds credit union programs, projects, and initiatives.

Over $12,000 was raised at inVest48 during an evening dinner, the largest to date. Additional upcoming fundraisers include the Golf Classic, Aug. 1, Louise McCarren Herring Birthday Celebration, Sept. 20, and the Clay Classic, Oct. 28. Throughout the year, the Foundation receives funds from AmazonSmile and the William A. Herring Society.

The Foundation is led by an exceptional board of directors that is committed to the Foundation’s mission and values. The board includes Becky Landis, Chair, State Highway Patrol FCU, Jeannie Fye, Vice-Chair, CSE FCU, Tammy Cantrell, Secretary/Treasurer, Corporate One FCU, Dean Pielemeier, Abby CU, Miranda McConoughey, Lake County Educational FCU, Josh Reams, Millstream CU, and Jacqueline Moore, Faith Community United CU. Thank you to the board for donating their time and talents to support and grow the credit union philosophy of People Helping People.

Last week, dozens of credit union leaders joined the League for a meeting with U.S. Senator J.D. Vance (R-Ohio) to discuss the successes and challenges facing credit unions and their members in his home state.
Regulatory

Are you keeping up with recent changes to regulatory laws and regulations?

As we start a new year, it is essential that credit unions have a review process for policies and procedures. As the financial industry evolves, so should the resources and guidelines that the credit union follows. As part of your annual League membership, making these updates is more accessible than ever.
